Honda CR-V Mk3 Roof Bars (2007–2011)
This page covers roof bars for the third-generation Honda CR-V (2007–2011) with factory-fitted flush roof rails. The bars clamp onto the rails and turn them into a proper roof rack. Both sets are made by the Turkish manufacturer Erkul, come as a pair and lock with a key.
Roof bars for the CR-V Mk3
- Ecem V2 — aluminium with plastic parts, in matt grey or black. Lengths up to 110, 120 or 140 cm; a complete kit for fitting two bars.
- WingCarrier V2 — aluminium bars in grey or black, also lockable.
Roof bars are the base for a bike carrier, roof box, ski rack or any other load on the roof. Grey aluminium shines in the sun, but it isn’t chrome.
Check your roof first
Flush (integrated) rails sit tight against the roof with no gap underneath. If there is a gap between the rail and the roof, you need roof bars for raised rails. If your CR-V has no rails at all, choose roof bars for fixed points or a roof rack for a normal roof.
For the Ecem V2, measure the distance between the rails and compare it with the length of the option. Not sure? Send us a photo of the roof and we’ll help you choose. Every option for this model is listed under roof racks and rails for the Honda CR-V 2007–2011.
The code in the product name tells you the roof type: V1 for raised roof rails with a gap, V2 for flush (integrated) rails, V3 for fixed points and V4 for a bare roof; bars for one type will not fit another. On the CR-V, 2012 is a changeover year between generations, so check the generation against a photo of the front end. Measure the distance between the rails separately at the front and at the rear. Roof boxes, bike carriers and ski carriers go on the cross bars, not straight onto the rails; with a roof box, make sure the open tailgate and the shark-fin aerial clear it. The load limit is set by the weakest link in the system, so spread the load evenly.
