Renault Alaskan pickup will be sold in Europe

Perhaps many people know that pickup trucks are very popular in America. In this regard, last year, Renault introduced and launched its Alaskan model. And now, a year later, this car came to our continent, to Europe.

For the first time, the Renault Alaskan model as a concept was presented two years ago at one of the car dealerships. Later, the car was presented in Colombia, where its first sales in this country began. The pickup truck is built on the NP300 platform, on which the Nissan Navara model is also designed.

The appearance of Renault Alaskan stands out well. This is especially true of the front of the car, which looks very massive and strict, due to the design of the head optics, grille and bumper.

It is worth noting that the car is quite adapted to complete off-road. This is facilitated by all-wheel drive, a sufficiently high ground clearance and a solid frame structure.

In the engine compartment of the Renault Alaskan there is a 2.3-liter turbocharged diesel engine with a capacity of 160 horsepower, which is distinguished by its efficiency. Fuel consumption per hundred kilometers is 6.3 liters. Although there is also a biturbo version that produces 190 hp.

Ashuoni Gupta, one of the directors of the Renault-Nissan concern, said that the pickup truck was designed to meet the needs of both private and corporate customers. It is, in a way, proof of how globally the company is trying to act in the international car market.

Sales of the Renault Alaskan model in Europe will start in September this year.
