BMW X3 F25 tuning parts — Page 28

For the BMW X3 F25 2011–2018 there are two tuning levels: an M-Sport style body kit (M-Tech kits, bumpers, side skirts, fender flare extensions, kidney grilles, mirror caps) — only for the facelift 2014–2018, because the pre-facelift X3 2011–2014 has different bumpers and headlights; and accessories for the whole 2011–2018 period — side steps, floor mats, mud flaps, roof racks, rear bumper protectors, G01-style tail lights, wind deflectors. For X3 E83 2003–2010 and X3 G01 from 2018 there are separate pages — body parts between generations are not interchangeable.

What body kit is available for the X3 F25, and how is M-Tech different from the facelift to X3M F97?

The M-Tech body kit converts a facelift F25 to the M Package look: M-Sport front and rear bumpers, side skirts, and fender flare extensions (4 pcs). The “with exhaust system” version adds an exhaust with M-Sport tips. The exact contents are listed in the product specifications; polypropylene parts come unpainted and install into factory mounting points. You can also buy M-Sport bumpers, M-Sport side skirts, and fender flare extensions as a set or individually. The facelift kit to X3M F97 2024 is a different task: it aims for the look of a newer generation, not an M Package for its own generation; always verify the set by photos and specs.

Which exterior parts can be installed separately?

• Kidney grilles for 2014–2018: M-Look (gloss, matte, with chrome trim, M-Color) and 1Bar — an ABS pair that installs into factory mounting points.
• Mirrors: M-Look caps replace the factory ones and clip in place (carbon available); M-Look covers stick on over the original cap; both are for 2014–2018.
• Lips, diffusers, spoilers, exhaust: the model-specific carbon front bumper trim is only for M-Sport; other lips, diffusers, and spoilers are universal (DPT, Niken) — check against your bumper dimensions; exhaust tips are available in stainless steel, or you can choose a system with M-Sport tips.
• Lighting: G01-style tail lights (pair) for factory mounting points, and the LED module for the headlight 63117263051 sold individually — match the number on your module.

Side steps or M-Sport side skirts — what to choose?

“Side skirts” on the X3 F25 fall into two groups. Aluminum side steps (Maya, Bosphore, Tayga, Vision and other Erkul designs, “Original steps” V1–V3 OEM) are sold as a pair with a mounting kit for factory mounting points for all years 2011–2018. M-Sport side skirts are a plastic body-kit trim piece to be painted, not a step, and are only for the facelift. Model-specific mud flaps Premium (4 pcs, rubber-plastic, factory mounting points) are designed for cars without side steps; with steps, universal ones are used with test fitting.

What’s available for the roof, interior, and small upgrades?

• Roof rack. With integrated rails — cross bars for integrated rails Skybar, Ecem, Strong, Wizard, WingBar; without rails — cross bars for factory mounting points Caretta, Ecem, ASAF, Wingbar V3.
• Floor mats made to F25 patterns: EVA (5-piece) in five colors (cells collect water and dirt), Stingray Premium rubber (4-piece), Stingray 3D polyurethane (5-piece) with high sides, Premium and Deluxe textile; the trunk mat is sold separately.
• Stainless steel: rear bumper protector plates by OmsaLine (Italian stainless steel from a Turkish manufacturer), Carmos, and NataNika — protect paint during loading, stick on with tape after degreasing; door sill and pillar trims.
• Interior and small items: wind deflectors Niken and HIC for 4 doors, M-Style steering wheel, full set of seat covers, 82 mm emblem, X3 badge, forged wheels R16–R24.

How to choose and install?

1. Identify your version — 2011–2014 or facelift 2014–2018 — by the shape of the bumpers and headlights, not just by the year; for M-Sport products the years are stated in the title.
2. Check what’s already installed: stock bumper or M-Sport (lip), side steps (mud flaps), integrated rails or a smooth roof (cross bars). For cars from the US market, send the manager photos of the trunk and the lighting connectors.
3. Body kit installation: parts are test-fitted and gaps are aligned, then painted to match the body, and installed into factory mounting points without cutting; trim pieces without factory fasteners are bonded to a degreased surface. You can install the kit at the DD Tuning network of certified service centers — the manager will recommend the nearest one.
