Volkswagen Touran 2003-2010 Fender flares (4 pcs, black)

Description

Fender arch trims for the first-generation Volkswagen Touran (body 1T, 2003–2010) — this is a set of four protective trims for the wheel arches: two for the front and two for the rear fenders. The page has four options: plastic or metal trims, separately for the pre-facelift Touran 2003–2006 and the facelift 2006–2010. The plastic ones are made by Digital Designs from ABS, the metal ones — by Max chrome (Poland) from stainless steel; each option includes 4 pcs.

Which trim option to choose for your Touran

First determine the vehicle’s years, then the material. For the transitional year 2006, verify by the actual front end and grille, not only by the year in the registration papers: the pre-facelift and facelift of the first generation look similar on the outside, but the fender arch trims for them are different.

The letters A–D correspond to the measuring diagram in the product photo: A and B — trim height along the outer and inner edge, C and D — width along the inner and outer edge. The dimensions are given for the front and rear trims separately — before ordering, place a tape measure on your arch and compare.

How plastic trims differ from metal ones

• Plastic (ABS) — matte black, like in the product photo; this is exactly the option customers refer to in conversations as “black arch moldings”. Lightweight, follow the fender curve.
• Metal — stainless steel, for those who consider a stronger material more important. If you specifically need a shiny stainless look, see the separate product fender arch trims (4 pcs, stainless) for the same years.

Both versions are protective trims, not wideners: they cover the edge of the arch from chips and dirt, but do not widen it for wider wheels.

How Touran fender arch trims are installed

The installation type in the product card — according to the instructions that can be downloaded on the product page. Two methods are предусмотрено: using double-sided tape or automotive glass adhesive-sealant. The trims have no clips, so the arch surface must be washed, dried, and degreased, test-fit the trim without adhesive, and only then fix it; in cold weather it’s better to bond in a warm room. Sealant holds more reliably than tape, especially on winter roads with salt.

What to pair with

All trims and wideners for this body are collected in the section Touran 2003–2010 fender arch trims, the rest of the exterior tuning — on the page Volkswagen Touran 2003–2010. Fender arch trims for other brands — in the general category wideners and fender arch trims.
