Characteristics Rear custom fit mud flaps (set) For Opel Vivaro 2001–2015
Overall dimensions and weight of the box
Description
Rear mud flaps for Opel Vivaro 2001–2015 (first generation Vivaro A, before and after the 2007 facelift) — a vehicle-specific rubber pair from the Turkish manufacturer Pryn Auto: two mud flaps for the rear wheels, black, mounted with self-tapping screws. They follow the shape of the rear arch specifically for the Vivaro, so these are not universal plates that you have to trim.
Which Vivaro models they fit
The product is specified for Opel Vivaro 2001–2015 — this is the Vivaro A body, and the 2007 facelift does not affect the rear mud flaps. They are not intended for Vivaro B (from 2015) or Vivaro C: those have a different body and a different arch shape. If your van is from 2014–2015, verify the body by the front end and headlights, not only by the year in the documents — around the generation change, both variants occur.
How many mud flaps are needed for the whole van
This product includes two rear mud flaps, left and right. To protect all four wheels, add a separate front pair from the same manufacturer: front mud flaps Opel Vivaro 2001–2015. Together this is a complete set of four pieces.
Material and why rear mud flaps
The mud flaps are made of elastic rubber. Flexible rubber handles frost and contact with a curb or snowbank better than rigid plastic: on impact it bends back elastically rather than cracking. The color is black, so the mud flaps look appropriate on a body of any color. Rear mud flaps are especially noticeable on a van — they keep dirt, water, and small stones from the rear wheels away from the side door, rear bumper, sill, and the vehicle driving behind.
How to install the rear mud flaps on a Vivaro
Before installation, clean the rear arch and the edge of the fender liner from dirt, sand, and frozen snow. Test-fit the mud flap so the outline sits evenly along the body edge, and separate left and right. Then fasten it with short self-tapping screws into the fender liner or the edge of the arch — the specification lists two parts, so it’s worth having self-tapping screws for installation on hand. Finally, check that the mud flap does not touch the wheel when turning.
You do not need to remove the bumper for this. During washing, clean the space between the mud flap and the arch so that sand does not accumulate there.
