Lexus GX 460 Modifications & Body Kits — Page 29

For the Lexus GX460 2009–2023 (J150 body), the catalog includes 2021-design facelift kits, headlights and taillights, a front grille, mirror caps, roof crossbars for rails, window visors, steering wheels, and floor mats—EVA, rubber, and textile. What fits the factory mounting points depends on your vehicle’s front-end design: up to 2013, 2013–2020, or 2021–2023. Parts from the Toyota Prado 150, as well as from the earlier GX470 and the newer GX550, do not fit the GX460.

Vehicle-specific items include “Lexus GX460 2009-2023” in the title; everything else is universal. Don’t use the similar Toyota Prado 150 as a reference: grilles, trims, crossbars, and side steps are different between these models.

Three GX460 front-end designs: what fits your body

The GX460 front end changed twice, and that determines what fits the factory mounting points:

• up to 2013 — first design. Facelift headlights, grille, fog lights, and trims only fit together with the new front bumper; the rear bumper and taillights are also different, so the newer taillights are installed together with the facelift rear bumper;
• 2013–2020 — facelift. To get the 2021 model look, it’s enough to replace the front headlights and the radiator grille;
• 2021–2023 — the latest design, for which the upgrade parts are made.

The “2013-2023” label in the title is for the facelift body. If the vehicle has already been modified, choose parts based on the headlights and bumper actually installed—not the year in the documents. A photo of the front end is more reliable here than the VIN.

2021-design facelift kits

In the facelift kits section, there are two sets:

• full kit for the 2010–2013 body (GBT) — both bumpers, Full LED headlights with AFS, grille, fog lights, repeaters, reflectors, taillights, trims, and mounting hardware; bumpers are supplied paint-ready;
• set for the 2013–2019 body (1234 Upgrade) — headlights and radiator grille only, in dark graphite with a chrome surround.

Kit components are also available separately in the bumpers section—bumpers, Premium trims, diffusers, absorber, brackets, and retainers. Body parts are painted to match the vehicle, but they should be test-fitted first to set the gaps before painting. If your vehicle has parking sensors or headlight washers, check the mounting points in the new bumper in advance. The kit can be installed at DD Tuning’s network of certified service centers—your manager will suggest the nearest one. A new front end with the old rear looks less cohesive—keep that in mind.

Headlights and taillights

Among the front headlights are 2021–2023 design headlights (Full LED, with AFS), 2013–2020 headlights, and facelift fog lights. It’s best to have new headlights wired by an auto electrician: they will verify the connectors and AFS operation specifically on your vehicle. Taillights for the 2013–2023 body are available in several versions: OEM, Led-type, Dragon V1 and V2, BlackEdition V1 Plus with sequential turn signals. Headlights and taillights are sold in pairs: one new light would differ from the old one in lens color and brightness.

Body, roof, and window visors

• Radiator grille with reinforcement in the 2021 design — for the 2013–2023 body; for older models it is installed together with the bumper and headlights. Whether the emblem is included depends on the kit contents: it is often transferred from the factory grille.
• TRD Sport style mirror caps — replacement caps: installed instead of the factory caps, with a location for the factory LED turn signal repeater, and designed for mirrors without a chrome insert; white, black, or paint-ready. There are also caps with a repeater and chrome mirror trim strips.
• Window visors HIC in 8 cm and 11 cm widths and Niken Luxury, including versions with a chrome molding — polycarbonate on double-sided tape, sets of 4 and 6 pieces. Wider ones cover the window better; apply to a degreased surface.
• Crossbars for integrated roof rails by Erkul and Cixtai. Clamp-style crossbars don’t fit the GX460 because of the rail width, so Erkul bars mount into the factory holes under the plastic caps, each with one bolt. Crossbars from the Prado 150 do not fit the GX460.
• In body parts — hood, fenders, tailgate, fender liners, rear mud flaps.

Interior and cargo area

Floor mats for the GX460 are selected by three factors: 5 or 7 seats, model year, and trim level. Interior sets are divided into 2010–2013 and 2013–2022; cargo mats into 2009–2017 and 2018+; and for 2018+ also into Base and Elegance, Prestige, Premium, Comfort.

• EVA by Digital Designs (in-house production) — a set of 5 mats in several colors and separate cargo mats for 5- and 7-seat versions; lighter than rubber, odor-free, and dirt and water stay in the cells.
• Rubber and polyurethane — Carsuit, Stingray Premium, Stingray 3D, Polytep; for 7-seat versions, the third-row mat Niken Luxury 3D is sold separately.
• Textile — Classic, Premium, and Deluxe lines.

For the interior there is a complete steering wheel with airbag (wood trim, heated, carbon) and an interior upgrade kit. For neighboring generations there are separate pages — Lexus GX470 2002–2009 and Lexus GX550 2023-.
