Crimea - Ukraine: no entry

A paradoxical, albeit predictable, situation is emerging. We all know that new license plates have already been brought to Crimea. The procedure for replacing them is completely incomprehensible and raises a lot of questions from the local population, and MREO phones constantly give out frequent short beeps. But it's not about that.

The Crimeans, in fact, have nowhere to go - they will say "change", they will have to obey, otherwise they will confiscate the car. And, as it became known, the old Ukrainian numbers will be taken away. So, if you want to go to the mainland of Ukraine, they will either not let you through at the border, or they will pick up the car at the nearest traffic control post.

Why is that? It's no secret that Ukraine to this day considers Crimea its property, and the local population - Ukrainian citizens. Therefore, as soon as you cross Chongar or the border of the Kherson region, Russian numbers will automatically become invalid. And in fact, such a car will be considered stolen!

So there are not many alternatives - train or bus. Although there is a problem here too… Only women and children are allowed to cross the border.
