Car Body Kits — Page 31

A body kit for a car is a set of parts that change the exterior look: a front bumper lip (lip spoiler), rear diffuser, tuning side skirts, spoiler, arch and grille trims, as well as full kits with complete bumpers and restyling kits “to the newer model look”. The section features over 9,600 offers for passenger cars, crossovers, minivans, and pickups; the parts are vehicle-specific and are selected by make, model, body type, and production years.

Types of body kits and what they’re made of

Separately, we offer fender flares and arch trims, tuning grilles, headlight eyelids, hood trims, and other plastic add-ons. The largest selection is from GBT, DDCarbon, DPT, Meliset, Max chrome, EuroCap, GT Tuning, Cixtai, Omsa Line, and 1234 Upgrade; restyling kits are mainly from GBT and 1234 Upgrade.

How to choose a body kit for your car

• Body type and years. Double-check the generation, facelift, and body type: sedan, wagon, and hatchback often have different rear parts and side skirts.
• The bumper actually on the car. A lip and diffuser are chosen for the bumper that’s currently installed. For example, on a Mercedes C-Class W205, the 2018–2021 facelift front bumper fits a 2014–2018 pre-facelift car, but you should then choose the facelift lip — for the installed bumper, not the model year.
• Vehicle options. For bumpers and grilles, check parking sensors, camera, radar, headlight washers, and fog lights; for a diffuser, check the number and position of exhaust tips and whether the car has a tow hitch.
• Kit contents. Lighting, grilles, side skirts, and mounting hardware are not included automatically — the exact list is specified in the product details.

Painting and installation

Gloss black or matte black parts can be installed without painting; the “paint-ready” label means the part must be test-fitted, prepped, and painted to match the body color. Mounting depends on the product: factory mounting points, windshield adhesive/sealant, double-sided tape, clips, or bolts — the installation method and what’s included are listed on the product page. Kits with bumpers and restyling conversions are usually installed at a workshop: you may need to transfer sensors, impact beam, and wiring. You can install a body kit at DD Tuning’s network of certified service centers — your manager will point you to the nearest one.

The easiest way to pick a kit for a specific vehicle is via the “Make / Model” filter or in the tuning catalog by brand.
