Unfortunately, no one is immune from troubles on the road. Therefore, we continue a series of articles about tuning with our own hands and this time we will talk about repairing a plastic bumper, or rather, how to restore it after an accident.

What kind of bumper can be repaired?
Not all plastic body kits can be welded, and you will find out if it can be done in your case if you turn the part upside down and look at the corresponding markings. Usually there are two types of such a body kit. Those that have polypropylene in their composition are not subject to welding, and in this case it remains only to buy a bumper in our tuning store . On all other models, it is easy to weld seams, and it is about them that we will talk further.

All work is best done in a warm and bright place. For this you will need:
- soldering iron power 40W;

- screwdriver;
- Bulgarian:
- electrodes.
Stages of work:
- Remove the damaged bumper and place it on a workbench.
- Heat the soldering iron, connect the broken parts of the body kit and run the tip of the soldering iron along the seam to slightly fix the parts. In the groove that is formed as a result of the above actions, place the electrode.
- Heat the electrode with hot air from a hair dryer (you can use a regular household appliance) until it breaks. After that, using a screwdriver, evenly distribute the composition over the groove.
- Grind the welded seam with a grinder and, if necessary, cover with the appropriate paint.
