Home tuning: installation of overlays according to the rules

If you already bought a body kit on your car, we will explain how to conduct a home tuning. After the installation of plates of steel or ABS, though is very simple, but requires care and knowledge of some important rules, which will be discussed in this article.

Installing overlays or rules for home tuning

1. Installation should be performed in a warm, dust-free and dry rooms.
2. If the ambient temperature is below +18°C, then heat with the dryer be sure the surface on which you are installing linings and accessories for tuning.
3. Before you start installation and remove with 3M double-sided tape protective tape, immediately sort the products according to the principle of the right/left/back/forward (especially when we are talking about the door sill covers or door handles).

6. Remove the 3M tape protective film of red color and begin to glue the accessory with the oval and closed parts.
7. Now, slide the trim or moldings with a soft cloth. To see out the remaining air, and press it with your fingertips. If the installation is carried out at a temperature lower than 18°C should be slightly warm glued detail a Hairdryer.

• Maximum grip is achieved after 24-72 hours, so try during this period, carefully operate the vehicle.
• Preferably after home tuning from the top to secure the item with duct tape (this will prevent it sagging in the first day).
• Do not wash the car 3 days.
