What are car sound deadeners

First of all, it should be noted that the soundproofing process itself is aimed at reflecting sound waves and, accordingly, suppressing noise from external sources.

The sound insulator consists of a closed cell structure and bears some resemblance to a sound absorber. In addition, such material, as a rule, has a layer of foil, due to which it reflects heat.

Examples include:

• Shumoff P4 ;
• Shumoff P8V .

Pros and cons of soundproofing

Among the main positive qualities of these materials are:

• Excellent moisture resistance. Perfectly retain their properties when exposed to moisture.
• They can serve as a heat insulator.
• Relatively low price. In relation to noise insulators, soundproofing costs about half as much.

Of the negative properties - they are not suitable as the main sound insulation.

Where is used

Soundproofing is not suitable as the main noise, as it gives a weak effect, but as an additional layer it will do.

Most often, such material is used on the surface of the engine compartment from the passenger compartment or in the doors.
