Do-it-yourself soundproofing of the rear shelf Lanos

From previous publications, you can find out how much sound insulation is needed for Daewoo Lanos and do-it- yourself trunk soundproofing Lanos . In this article, we suggest that you familiarize yourself with the sequence of actions for soundproofing the rear shelf of this model.
materials
When working with the rear shelf of Lanos, the following materials are used:
- Vibration isolator Shumoff M2 - 3 sheets.
- Vibration damper Shumoff M4 - 3 sheets.
- Noise absorber Ultimate Sound Absorber 5 - half a sheet.
Plus, you will need a building hair dryer.
Disassembly
The rear shelf is quite easy to disassemble:
- First you need to remove the side trim and the plastic lining of the trunk opening from below.
- Next, three clips are pulled out from the end of the shelf and three clips from the top.
- Then we take out the speakers and wiring.
As a result, a bare thin metal plate remains, which we will process in the first place.
Sticking and assembly
Shelf noise reduction should be performed in the following order:
- After degreasing, Shumoff M4 vibration is applied. You can glue not in pieces, but in whole sheets.
- Next, we glue the sheathing of the shelf with Shumoff M2 material.
- Then glue with Sound Absorber 5.
- If desired, the wiring can be wrapped with bitoplast.
After that, the assembly process is carried out: speakers are installed, wiring is laid, sheathing is attached. If the regular upper clips now do not reach the seats, then they can be replaced with longer ones.
This Shumka rear shelf completed. We hope that our recommendations will help you and you will do an excellent job with this work.
