Installation

How it works

Check compatibility.

Prepare the surface.

Wash the mounting area, removing dirt and any traces of wax or polish. Carefully degrease the surface with a product compatible with the paintwork and dry it.

Ensure proper bonding conditions.

The body and the trim must be dry. Follow the adhesive backing manufacturer’s temperature requirements. Do not install the part in the rain or on a surface with condensation.

Mark the exact position.

Align the trim and mark reference points with masking tape suitable for automotive paintwork. Check the position before bonding.

Secure the trim.

Remove the protective layer from the adhesive backing without touching it with your fingers. Apply the part according to the reference points and press evenly at the bonding areas without deforming the metal.

Allow the adhesive to cure.

Keep the time specified by the adhesive backing manufacturer. Until this period ends, do not wash the car or load the trim. If the installation requirements are not listed on the packaging, clarify them before installation.
