Useful tips for removing various stains
The main rule: the earlier you start removing the stain, the easier it will be.
- Greasy stains (oil, sauces): sprinkle the stain with baking soda or cornstarch. These products will absorb fat. After 15-20 minutes, remove the powder with a brush and wipe the stain with a damp cloth with a small amount of dishwashing liquid.
- Coffee and tea stains: Soak a cotton pad in cold water with a little vinegar or lemon juice. Wipe the stain with a cotton pad, then blot with a clean, damp cloth.
- Blood: wet the stain with cold water and sprinkle with table salt. After 10 minutes, remove the salt with a brush and wipe with a damp cloth. Importantly! Do not use hot water as it may set the stain.
- Chewing gum: Freeze chewing gum with an ice cube in the bag. Then carefully remove the hardened gum from the upholstery. The remaining marks can be wiped off with a damp cloth and washing-up liquid.
A few general recommendations
- Always test any cleaning product on an inconspicuous area of the upholstery to check its effect on the color of the fabric.
- Do not rub the stain hard, so as not to spread the contamination.
- Work from the edges of the stain to the center so as not to increase its size.
- After cleaning, dry the upholstery in the fresh air.
Remember: regular cleaning and care of the car interior is the key to its attractive appearance and your comfort.
