Frequently asked questions
Are the windshield deflector and the windshield visor the same thing?
Yes, these are two names for the same part, which is mounted on the outside above the windshield. It is also called a windshield spoiler or visor. Unlike the sun visors inside the cabin, it is attached to the body on the outside.
Do I need to drill the body to install the visor?
For EuroCap frame visors, yes: the metal frame is screwed to the body with self-tapping screws. Fiberglass paint-to-match visors are glued on with glass adhesive sealant without drilling holes. The installation method is specified in the characteristics of each product.
What is included in the frame visor kit?
The visor, metal frame, and mounting kit with fasteners. The hood deflector is not included; it is ordered separately.
Do I need to paint the visor?
Fiberglass visors marked as "paint-to-match" are primed and painted to match the body color before installation. Versions in gloss black, matte black, and white are installed without painting.
Is adhesive included with the fiberglass visor?
No, for visors installed with adhesive sealant, the characteristics state that the adhesive is not included. Glass adhesive sealant is used and purchased separately.
Will a visor from another model or generation fit?
You should not count on that: visors are made to match the shape of a specific roof and windshield. Choose the product in the filter for your model and year, and if in doubt, send the manager a photo of the car.
