Where is an H8 bulb used, and how can I check that this is the one I need?
H8 is most often used in fog lights. The exact bulb type is determined by the marking on the base of the old bulb or the vehicle manual; the year of manufacture or VIN is often not enough. If the marking is not visible, send us a photo of the old bulb and the headlight — we’ll help identify the base.
Can I install an H11 or H9 bulb instead of H8?
Halogen H8, H9, and H11 bulbs have a similar connector, but different flange tabs and different wattage, so they are not interchangeable without checking. Niken Eco-series and Pro-series LED kits are made for all three H8/H9/H11 bases.
What is the difference between Niken Eco-series and Pro-series LED bulbs?
Both kits include 2 bulbs with built-in drivers, 8000 lm and 6500 K according to the manufacturer. Eco-series has a power of 40 W and a 7500 rpm fan, while Pro-series has 32 W and an 8500 rpm fan.
Do I need a CANbus adapter for H8 LED bulbs?
It depends on the vehicle: in some cars, the lower current draw of an LED bulb causes an error or the bulb flickers. For this, there is a LED Canbus adapter H8/9/11 (40W), 2 pcs per set.
How many H8 bulbs are in the package, and should they be replaced in pairs?
Philips 12360 and GE 53090 halogen bulbs are sold individually, while Niken LED kits come as a pair. It is best to replace both at once so the light on the left and right is the same in brightness and shade.
Will an H8 LED bulb fit in a fog light?
The Niken LED bulb has a heatsink with a fan and is longer than a halogen bulb. Before buying, check the space behind the headlight or under its cover and how the bulb locks into place.
