How to install a spoiler on a car with your own hands

Car tuning is more than just decoration, especially when it comes to the spoiler. In this article, we offer a step-by-step guide: how to install a spoiler on a car with your own hands using double-sided tape.

Required tool

There are three ways to install the spoiler:

1. On double-sided tape;
2. For adhesive sealant;
3. On bolted connections.

For the first installation option you will need:

• Degreaser;
• Clean rags;
• Double-sided tape.

Installation process

So, let’s consider installing a spoiler on the trunk using double-sided tape:

• We try on the accessory to the place on the trunk, center it and make marks where it will be installed.
• The surface where the part will be attached must be thoroughly degreased.
• After the surface has dried, proceed with the installation. If there is no double-sided tape on the accessory, then it must be applied around the perimeter of the part.
• Then peel off the protective tape of the tape around the edges.
• We put the spoiler in place of installation, while removing the protective film from the adhesive tape, glue the accessory.
• We press the part firmly and hold it for about two minutes.
• After that, you need to pause for about 15-30 minutes, and only then you can go on a trip.

You can also use glass adhesive sealant in addition to the adhesive tape. It can be applied pointwise to areas free from adhesive tape.
