The classic way of making a tuning part with your own hands

On the road, many people often pay attention to the vehicles passing by, especially if it is an unusual car, meaning its appearance. Indeed, now many motorists attach great importance to car tuning .
Today, there are already quite a lot of professionals in this type of car improvement, they can change the car both externally and give it new features with the help of internal tuning.
Do-it-yourself tuning part manufacturing technology
Consider the basics of manufacturing technology of parts, guided by the advice of professionals.
All tuning materials can be bought at car markets, here sellers with experience will be able to advise you on what to buy, depending on what you will do. There are also ready-made finishing parts that can be immediately attached to the car body or, if interior decoration is needed, then to the steering wheel or dashboard.
In order to make the original tuning of your car, you do not have to be a professional. All you need is just to know the manufacturing technology of the part.
Manufacturing process
Materials that you will need during the manufacture of parts for outdoor tuning:
- Epoxy resin with hardener;
- The form;
- Fiberglass.
- It's hard to make a shape. It is necessary to make a wire frame, then fill it with mounting foam and process it with a sharp knife. Tip: the foam should be poured five centimeters above the norm, so it is easily processed with a knife .
- Suppose we already have a finished processed form, now it is filled with putty.
- When the mold dries, you need to rub it with emery cloth, for a better look of the mold, it also makes it smooth. That's it, your form is ready.
- Now you can finish the part itself - for this we put fiberglass on the form, if there is an uneven surface, with bends, you can cut the material so that it fits in the form.
- After we lubricate with epoxy resin with a hardener, then, layer by layer, we apply as much as necessary. The more layers to apply, the stronger the part will be.
- After the fiber dries, the part can be primed and painted.
This is a simple technology for manufacturing tuning parts, inexpensive and quite convenient. For multiple use, it is unlikely to be suitable, but for a single use it will do just fine.
