Wheel centre caps — Page 12
Center caps for alloy wheels—often called “caps for alloys,” blanks, “centers,” or “wheel hub caps”—cover the wheel’s center bore and the hub behind it. You choose them by the two diameters shown in the product name (for example, 65/56 mm: outer and mounting), not by car brand, wheel radius, or bolt pattern. This category includes model-specific caps with emblems for Volkswagen, Skoda, Audi, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Ford, Opel, Toyota, Honda, Renault, KIA, Hyundai and other brands; universal caps without an emblem (64×62 and 56×52 mm); single caps for original Volkswagen LT, Mercedes Sprinter and Ford wheels; as well as cap stickers. Most items are made by Davs Auto (Turkey) and are usually sold as a set of 4. Without a center cap, the bore and hub are visible; with a cap, the wheel looks finished and less dirt and moisture reach the hub.
Types of wheel center caps
- Model-specific — with the brand emblem, made to fit the size of its original wheels. This is the most popular option: for example, 56/52 mm caps for Skoda and Volkswagen, or 70/75 mm for Mercedes-Benz.
- Limited universal — fit wheels from different brands with the same center-bore size.
- Set or single. Most caps are sold in sets of 4—one per wheel. Large caps for original steel wheels (Volkswagen LT, Mercedes Sprinter, Ford) are also available as single pieces, which is convenient if you’ve lost one.
- Color — black, gray, chrome, graphite, blue, and red to match your wheels.
For some sizes there are versions with a ring and without a ring—check the product name and photos and compare them with your old caps. A cap sticker is a separate decoration for an existing cap, not a replacement.
How to choose the size
Center caps are selected by diameters, not by car brand or wheel size: R16 or R19, bolt pattern 5×112 or 5×120 tell you nothing about cap size. Even within one brand there can be several sizes—BMW, for example, has 55/53, 56/54, 68/64.5 and 69/65 mm caps. In the product name, the size is written as two numbers, for example 65/56 mm: one number is the outer diameter of the visible face, the other is the mounting diameter of the “legs” that snap into the wheel’s center bore. The order of numbers may differ between products, so use the rule that the mounting diameter is always smaller.
This is especially important if your car has aftermarket wheels: the same model can have wheels with different center bores, and a “brand-specific” cap may not fit. The most reliable method is to remove the old cap and measure it with a caliper: outer diameter along the edge and mounting diameter across the clips. Sometimes the size is stamped on the back of the old cap. If there is no cap, measure the wheel’s center bore. To ensure a perfect fit, choose exactly your size: a smaller cap will rattle, a larger one won’t go in, and the clips must catch the wheel’s lip. If you’re unsure, send your measurements to our manager; a photo of the wheel will help confirm the shape, and they’ll suggest the right option.
Center caps by car brand
To find yours faster, open the brand selection: Volkswagen wheel center caps, Skoda, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, BMW, Ford, Opel. Even within the same brand, the size depends on the wheels, so check the diameters before ordering.

How to install
Most caps install in the factory location: insert the cap into the wheel’s center bore and press evenly until it clicks—no drilling or gluing needed. Before installation, clean the bore from dirt and old rust so the cap sits evenly. Remove it carefully using a plastic trim tool—a metal screwdriver can scratch the wheel and break the clips.
What to pair with
To complete the look of the wheel, add valve stem caps. For decorating the face, stickers for center caps are sold separately, for example GT2 V2 60 mm and Tuning V1 60 mm: they are usually trimmed to match a specific cap, so first compare the sticker size with the cap’s outer diameter and check whether the cap face is flat or domed. Apply the sticker to a clean, degreased cap.
