Frequently asked questions
Will a body kit fit a standard bumper if the title says M-Sport or AMG Line?
No. Such kits are designed for the specific version of the bumper and do not fit a standard bumper. Check the generation, model years, and bumper version in the product title, and if in doubt, send the manager a photo of the car.
Are there differences between pre-facelift and facelift kits?
Yes, many models have separate kits, for example 2018–2022 and 2023+. The bumper shape changes after the facelift, so the years in the kit title must match your car.
Does a body kit need to be painted?
It depends on the version. Kits for painting are painted in the body color after test fitting. Gloss black, white, and carbon kits can be installed without painting, but the shade of the finished color may differ slightly from the factory paint.
What is included in a body kit?
The contents vary: usually it includes a front lip, rear diffuser, and side skirts, and some kits also include a spoiler, mirror caps, grilles, or exhaust tips. The exact list is specified in the “Kit contents” field on the product page.
How is a body kit installed and who can do it?
Model-specific kits are installed in the factory mounting points, and the fasteners depend on the kit: clips, brackets, bolts, tape, or adhesive sealant. The kit can be installed at the DD Tuning network of certified service centers — the manager will suggest the nearest one.
Will a body kit reduce ground clearance?
The front lip and lower trims lower the lowest point of the bumper, so ground clearance decreases. This should be taken into account when choosing a kit for an SUV that is often driven on dirt roads.
Can I buy just one part of the kit, for example only the lip or diffuser?
It depends on the product: some parts are sold separately, while others are only available as a pair or as a set. Look for individual elements in the subcategories of front bumper lip spoilers, rear diffusers, and side skirts; not every kit is sold in parts.
Is it enough to specify the model, year, or VIN, and will the kit fit a non-original bumper?
Not quite: you need to check the generation, facelift, bumper version, and the actually installed part. A trim piece made for the original shape may not fit a replica bumper, and a model-specific kit may sometimes need adjustment. Photos of the front and rear of the car will help.
