Mercedes-Benz has developed an Autonomous Parking system

Modern technologies do not stand still. Every year there is a mass of innovative developments, among which a few take root. So, recently, Mercedes-Benz introduced a new system for parking cars without the participation of a driver.
Within the walls of the parking lot of the museum of the German manufacturer, a new autonomous car parking system was presented. This project was developed in cooperation with Bosch, develops and supplies all the necessary components for this functionality.
Multiple sensors of the system, communicating with each other, transmit information to each other about the availability of parking spaces and analyze the situation around. Thus, a kind of corridor is formed for the car, along which it follows to the specified place. The developers report that this invention will be especially useful for multi-level and underground parking lots.
To activate this system, you need to stop the car in a special place and press a button on a smartphone that has the appropriate application. Similarly, the car can return to its owner.
At this time, German engineers are testing an autonomous system. To implement it, you will need to obtain a security license and permission from the authorities. The autonomous parking system is expected to be available early next year.
