Global automotive leaders will build a network of electric filling stations in Europe

World leaders on manufacture of cars of Ford, Volkswagen, BMW and Mercedes, and together they opened the company, which in three years on European main roads will construct at least 400 electric filling stations. The name of the newborn company – IONITY.

Today it became known that the world's leaders in the production of cars signed an agreement in which a company IONITY. This company will engage in the construction of electric charging stations for electric vehicles, which will please users with high-speed charging. Participation in the creation IONITY took the above brands, including units of Porsche and Audi. The newly created company is divided into equal share of ownership among the founders. In addition, the organizers invite other automobile enterprises to cooperate in this area that will greatly expand the new network of electric filling stations.

IONITY plans this year to open about 20 of electric gas stations on the main roads of Austria, Germany and Norway. The spacing between stations will be approximately 120 km, and partners will make these networks as "OMV", "Circle K", "Tank&Rast". In the first half of next year, the number of stations will increase to 50 by the end of 2018 there will be about a hundred. In 2020 it is planned to open not less than 400 electric charging stations on major highways of Europe.

The new power station will be called High-Power Charging and will allow you to "refuel" several electric vehicles. The power of each port will be 350 kW, which will significantly increase charging time. The station will conform to the standards of CCS that are used in modern models.
