Frequently asked questions
What is the best rear bumper guard made of — stainless steel or plastic?
Stainless steel looks like chrome, won’t rust, and can be polished if it loses its shine. ABS plastic is lighter and less noticeable on a black bumper. Both materials protect the paint from scratches when loading the trunk.
What is the difference between Carmos and Omsa Line guards?
Both manufacturers make guards from stainless steel. Carmos uses Turkish steel and offers the widest range of models. Omsa Line uses Italian stainless steel from a Turkish manufacturer and has more precise fit geometry.
What does a guard with a “fold” mean?
This is a guard with a bent edge that wraps around the outer edge of the bumper and protects it from scratches. A straight guard covers only the upper surface of the bumper.
How is a rear bumper guard attached?
Most guards are attached with double-sided tape that comes with the guard, so there is no need to drill the bumper. Some models are installed with adhesive sealant or in factory mounting points — this is indicated in the product specifications.
Will a wagon guard fit a sedan?
No, the rear bumpers of a sedan, hatchback, and wagon are different. Choose a guard marked for your body type in the name: SD, HB, SW, Avant, or Sedan.
What do the dimensions in the guard specifications mean?
These are the dimensions of the box in which the guard is shipped, not of the item itself. The exact length and width of the guard can be checked with the manager.
