Frequently asked questions
How are Omsa Line and Carmos trims different?
Both manufacturers are Turkish and make self-adhesive stainless steel trims. Omsa Line uses Italian stainless steel and has a more precise fit, while Carmos uses Turkish stainless steel.
Which is better: stainless steel or chrome-plated plastic?
Stainless steel does not rust, keeps its shape, and lets you polish out minor scratches. Chrome-plated ABS plastic is lighter, but its coating can fade over time.
Do the doors need to be drilled?
No. Most of the trims in this section are attached with double-sided tape, which is already applied to the part or included in the set. The installation method is specified in the product details.
Will sedan moldings fit a hatchback or station wagon?
Not always: doors and windows can differ between body types. Choose a product marked for your body type — SD, HB, or SW.
Can the trim be removed without leaving marks?
The tape-mounted trim is removed by gently heating it. It should be reattached with new double-sided tape.
Do moldings protect the doors from impacts?
Yes, the door molding absorbs light bumps from neighboring doors in a parking lot and protects the paint from scratches. It will not protect against a strong impact.
