Frequently asked questions
How are door handle trims attached?
They are applied over the factory handles with double-sided tape, so no drilling is needed. Before installation, the handles are washed, degreased, and dried, and the trim is test-fitted first.
What does “with chip” or “with buttons” mean in the product name?
These are trims with a cutout for the button or sensor for keyless access on the handle. If your car’s driver-side handle does not have such a button, choose the version without a chip. There is no electronics in the trim.
What is the difference between full, narrow, and flat handle trims?
Full trims cover the handle from the top and side. Narrow, flat, and end-cap trims cover only the front part or the end of the handle and look more discreet.
How do Carmos and Omsa Line trims differ?
Both brands make trims from stainless steel. Carmos uses Turkish steel and offers the widest model range. Omsa Line is Italian stainless steel from a Turkish manufacturer with a more precise fit: the trim follows the shape of the handle more closely.
Are handle trims and under-handle trims the same thing?
No. Handle trims are attached to the handle itself, while under-handle trims, also called “soap dishes” or “cups,” are installed in the recess under it to keep the paint from being scratched by nails. These are different products, and both are available in the section.
Will a trim replace a broken door handle?
No, the trim is glued over the existing factory handle and only hides wear marks. For Land Cruiser 200, Prado 150, and Lexus LX, the section includes complete door handles.
