
The pros and cons of xenon lamps

Many drivers in night trips pay attention to the light emitted from the xenon headlights. However, there are not only supporters of this invention, but also opponents. This article outlines some of the pros and cons of xenon lights.
Of course, the positive qualities should include bright glow xenon bulbs. Although it may not appeal to drivers of oncoming traffic, but, nevertheless, about half of all traffic accidents that occurred at night days, is due to insufficient visibility. Installing the xenon lights, the problem of poor visibility disappears.
Also the positive qualities of these lights is that they do not exhibit jumps of lighting when the engine is started or when switching speeds. Xenon lamps have excellent durability, resistance to vibrations and economical. Compared to conventional lamps, xenon does not have a spiral filament, so they have nothing to burn out.
Now about the negative qualities of xenon lamps. First, it is worth to say that the cost of xenon lamps is much more expensive than usual. Secondly, for the use of such lamps it is necessary to install a special unitin order to provide higher voltage. Also, the car owner will need the auto-leveling of the angle of illumination lamps, which is also not small money. Thirdly, in case of failure of one lamp will have to change both, as, when installing a new lamp the glow will be different.
Summing up we can say that the installation of xenon lights is a personal matter. However, based on traffic safety, then probably it's worth thinking about.
