Frequently asked questions
Do the set include wiring, a button, and bulbs?
It depends on the kit — the contents are listed in the “Set contents” field. “Assembled” kits for Land Cruiser include wiring and a mounting kit; the “full kit” includes headlights with plastic bumper parts. The button and relay for cars without factory fog lights are often bought separately.
Can fog lights be installed on a car that didn’t have them from the factory?
Yes, if you choose headlights that fit your bumper together with the plastic inserts. In addition to the headlights, wiring and a button are needed, and on some cars the function must be activated in the control unit, so it’s better to leave the installation to an auto electrician.
How do you correctly adjust fog lights?
After installation, check the light on a flat wall: the fog light beam should be low and wide, lower than the low beam cutoff. If the housing has an adjustment screw, the angle is corrected with it so as not to blind oncoming drivers.
Can you drive with fog lights instead of low beam or as daytime running lights?
No, fog lights are auxiliary lighting for fog, rain, and snow; they do not replace low beam and are not daytime running lights. When they may be switched on is determined by your country’s traffic regulations.
What do the US-type and EU-type labels mean?
These are versions for cars from the US and European markets. The bumper, fitment, and connectors may differ, so choose the version that matches your vehicle.
Can you buy one fog light instead of a pair?
For some models, yes — there are separate left and right lights, and this is indicated in the product name. Other fog lights are sold only as a pair or as a kit.
