How can I tell a pre-facelift Mercedes W222 from a facelifted one?

The model was updated in 2017: the facelift has LED headlights with three daytime running light strips, a different grille, and revised taillights. Parts for the pre-facelift version are marked 2014–2017 or 2014–2018, while facelift parts are 2018–2022. If the bumper or headlights have already been replaced, go by the installed parts and send the manager a photo or VIN.

What is the difference between a body kit and a facelift kit?

A body kit is bumpers without optics (for example, Maybach 2018–2022 — front and rear bumper). A facelift kit adds optics: the S63 AMG-2018 set includes facelift headlights with modules, taillights, an AMG Black grille, and exhaust tips, while the Maybach “with optics” set includes headlights with modules and taillights.

Will the camera, Night Vision, and Distronic work with a tuning grille?

It depends on the specific grille and the car’s equipment: having a sensor mounting point does not yet guarantee the system will work. The AMG grille for W222 is available in versions with NightVision and without. Before ordering, provide the manager with the VIN or equipment list.

Will parts fit the W222 Long and the coupe?

For the long wheelbase there are separate floor mats, wind deflectors, and AMG side skirts for Long, and for the short wheelbase — Short floor mats; the wheelbase is indicated in the product name. The S-class C217 coupe has its own section, and sedan W222 parts do not fit it.

Do the headlights need coding, and who installs the kit?

Depending on the headlights and the kit, connection may be direct, with repinning, diagnostics, or programming — this is checked by an auto electrician. Bumpers and side skirts are mostly supplied for painting and require test fitting. The kit can be installed at the DD Tuning network of certified service centers — the manager will suggest the nearest one.
