Romania started the Assembly of a new Ford EcoSport for Europe

The updated Ford EcoSport crossover model, designed for the European market, was officially presented in early autumn this year. The assembly of the crossover for the countries of the old continent will be carried out in Romania.

In the Romanian city of Craiova, production of the new Ford EcoSport crossover for European countries has begun. Previously, this company produced B-Max cars. To implement this plan, the management of the American brand has invested at least 200 million euros. Up to this point, EcoSport was imported to Europe from India.

The Romanian plant was opened almost ten years ago. About one billion dollars was invested in it. More than one and a half thousand new employees will work on the release of the crossover.

Ford EcoSport in a fresh version has got a new grille, modified optics and stylish bumpers. The interior has changed the front panel, steering wheel, and multimedia system. For Europeans, the cross will also be available in the ST-Line modification.

The engine range of the model contains units of 1.0 and 1.5 liters. Power varies from 100 to 140 horsepower. The transmission is offered in automatic and manual versions. The Ford EcoSport has an all-wheel drive system.
