In Ukraine will consider new taxes on cars with foreign numbers

Now in Ukraine there are many disputes and disagreements about the operation of vehicles with license plates of EU countries in our country. The Verkhovna Rada submitted a legislative document regarding this for consideration.

According to the innovation, car owners will be required to pay a tariff for the operation of cars on the territory of Ukraine with foreign numbers. The authors of this law provide that the money from additional fees will go to the construction and repair of roads.

However, it is known that this practice is not new. In 2016, car owners of such vehicles were required to pay annual sums of money. Then the fee was designated as a fixed one, and it ranged from 150 to 200 euros for riding on the numbers of European countries.

The new law provides for a tax for the use of this transport, taking into account that the machine itself weighs no more than 3.5 tons, has no more than nine seats, and also depends on the period of its operation. The more you drive, the less you pay. In numbers, it looks like this: 1 day - 2 euros, 7 days - 7 euros, 1 month - 34 euros, 3 months - 96 euros, 6 months - 180 euros, 1 year - 342 euros. This bill is currently under consideration by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
