How to soundproofing: tips

Want to improve your interior comfort of your own car, but I don't know how to make sound insulation? Our useful tips will definitely help you in this difficult matter.

1. To mount materials on the inner surface of a car to be using a stitcher roller.

Alternative insulation

What is auto insulation, we have already told in our previous articles. But we never wrote about alternative processing technology of the car, and rarely such a method can be found on the Internet. And it is applying liquid insulation compositions.

It will also require a need to disassemble parts of the machine, to clear them from the plant materials, degrease with acetone or any other structure (the sequence of standard actions is described in the article Noise isolation with his own hands: technology features). After that, the liquid solution is applied to the working surface by using a spray gun and compressor (the thickness of the layer should be about 1.5 mm).

The sequence of applying the following:

• the floor of the cabin, since the front of the machine;
• Luggage compartment;
• the inner part of the doors.

For greater efficiency, you can spray a second coat, but only after the first has dried. To collect the car after the liquid processing is possible only after 8-10 hours, since the surface needs to evaporate all the moisture. If you need to reduce drying time, all work should be carried out in a well ventilated area or provide ventilation of the treated surfaces.

Whatever method of treatment you choose, the result in any case will follow immediately and will be reflected as a reduction of noise of different nature (wind, vibration in the riding process, from the friction of the tyres, working motor, exhaust, etc.). In addition, will improve the thermal insulation of the cabin, and a winter trip will be more comfortable.
