Mitsubishi will show a new old car to the 100-year anniversary

This year is the 100th anniversary of the Japanese automobile company Mitsubishi. On this occasion, the brand management decided to make an unusual surprise for their fans. It was decided to "resurrect" the 1917 Mitsubishi Model A passenger car model.

Back at the beginning of this year, a model of a rare car Mitsubishi Model A, which was born at the beginning of the last century, fell into the hands of West Coast Customs tuning studio specialists. This vehicle is considered one of the first in the Japanese company. At the moment, the tuners managed to do everything that was required of them, and the presentation of the car will take place on November 6 as part of the Inside West Coast Customs car television show.

Unlike its original appearance, Mitsubishi Model A will be equipped with a hybrid power plant from the PHEV series borrowed from the Outlander crossover. In addition, the name of the car will now look like this - Mitsubishi Re-Model. The hybrid engine consists of a 2.0-liter gasoline unit with a capacity of 120 horsepower and two electric motors generating 80 hp. In addition, the new old car received a multimedia installation and a lot of modern auxiliary systems in its equipment.

As a reference, it is worth noting that the Model A of 1917 was equipped with a 2.8-liter 4-cylinder engine with a capacity of 35 “horses”. Just over 20 of these machines were produced.

It is known that Mitsubishi Re-Model after the television presentation will go to the US in Los Angeles, where it will be shown to the public. And a little later, the Americans are waiting for the appearance on the market of the updated model Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV, the cost of which will be approximately 35 thousand dollars.
