In China presented the cheapest electric car

Chinese automotive firm BJEV has launched the BJEV EC180 electric compact car. This car is predicted to become the best-selling in its class, because its price will be about $7,300. This is the price of the stock version, the price of the tuning version is still unknown.

Chinese automotive engineers seem to be proud of having invented and produced such a car. After all, last year one of the leaders of the Renault-Nissan alliance said that electric cars would then become the most popular when their price did not exceed $7,000. This meant full-fledged electric vehicles, and not those that have several batteries and their power is about three horsepower. The head of the alliance made a prediction about this. That such vehicles may appear no earlier than 2020.

However, Chinese automakers decided to get ahead of all forecasts and today began selling such an electric car. As already mentioned, the price of an electric hatchback BJEV EC180 will not be much more than seven thousand dollars. Its power reserve is designed for 180 km of track, which is indicated in the name index. The overall dimensions of the five-seat car are as follows: length - 3672 mm, width - 1630 mm, and height - 1495 mm. The weight of the machine is 1,085 kg. The BJEV EC180 electric motor shows a power of 41 hp, and the batteries have a capacity of 20.3 kW / h. The hatchback is capable of accelerating to 100 km / h, and it takes seven hours to fully charge it.

Representatives of the BJEV company are confident that their electric car will be in great demand in the domestic market. About 170 thousand EC180 models are planned to be assembled per year. Whether this novelty will appear in other markets other than China has not yet been reported.
