Ceer Exobot — Saudi Arabia’s first mass-production electric cars: a sedan and an SUV, unveiled on September 21, 2026 by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Both models have three electric motors with a combined output of 625 kW (850 hp) and 1,000 N·m, a 112 kWh battery on an 800 V architecture, and a range of up to 670 km for the sedan and up to 560 km for the SUV on the NEDC cycle. Production at Ceer’s plant on the Red Sea coast will start in January 2027, and the first cars will be delivered to customers in March 2027 — initially in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf countries.

What Ceer is and who is behind the brand

Ceer is Saudi Arabia’s first car brand. It was founded in 2022 as a joint venture between the sovereign wealth fund PIF and Taiwan’s Foxconn, best known as an assembler of iPhone and PlayStation. That same year, Ceer signed an agreement with BMW to license automotive technologies. Exobot is both the name of the models and the new electric platform they are built on.

Ceer did not develop everything from scratch; instead, it assembled the car from components supplied by leading vendors. The platform and electrical architecture come from Foxconn, the front electric motor is supplied by Hyundai Transys, and the rear drive unit with two motors comes from Croatia’s Rimac Technology. Design was led by Rob Melville, who previously headed McLaren design and worked on the P1, 720S, Senna, and Artura.

Exobot is the first two of seven models Ceer promises to release over five years. Later, the lineup will also include vehicles not limited to electric power — some future versions will get hybrid and gasoline powertrains.

What specifications Exobot has: power, battery, range

At launch, both models are offered in First Edition and Plus trims with the same tri-motor all-wheel drive: 625 kW (850 hp) and 1,000 N·m. The sedan accelerates to 100 km/h in 2.6 s, the SUV in 2.9 s; top speed is 230 and 210 km/h respectively. The battery is a nickel-manganese-cobalt (NMC) unit with a capacity of 112 kWh. Thanks to an 800 V architecture, DC fast charging supports up to 250 kW and replenishes the battery from 10 to 80% in under 30 minutes; on AC — up to 11 kW.

According to CarExpert and DubiCars, a more powerful version will appear later — around 1,100 hp (815–828 kW according to different sources) and 1,500 N·m: the sedan will accelerate to 100 km/h in 2.1 s and reach 250 km/h, the SUV — 2.4 s and 210 km/h. These figures are not yet listed on Ceer’s official website.

An important caveat about the range: NEDC is an old and lenient cycle; in Europe, measurements have long been done under WLTP, and the numbers are usually noticeably lower. Ceer does not quote an official WLTP range. Trunk volume is given according to CarExpert; the second number is with the rear seatbacks folded down.

What stands out about Exobot’s design and interior

Both cars have a wedge-shaped silhouette with a very long windshield: 2.4 m long at an angle of about 15 degrees. Ceer calls it the largest on a mass-produced passenger car. The glass has a silver coating that reflects heat — not a minor detail for the Saudi climate.

The second standout feature is the nearly 3 m-long Shahin Wing doors that open upward like wings. There is no B-pillar between the front and rear seats, so you enter the cabin through one large opening. The headlights are matrix LEDs with 32 thin light strips at the front and rear.

Inside, the dashboard is spanned by a curved 48-inch Digital Horizon display with 8K resolution. Below it is a 10.4-inch vertical touchscreen, and for rear passengers there is a separate 8-inch screen. Instead of a conventional steering wheel there is a yoke with steer-by-wire electronic control, with no mechanical link to the wheels. There is rear-wheel steering, adaptive air suspension with dual-chamber air springs, and cameras instead of side mirrors. The Halo Cooling climate-control system, according to the manufacturer, cools the cabin from 65 to 32 °C in 10 minutes.

First Edition will get personalized number plates, red brake calipers, and two body colors — Harrat Grey and White Musk. The illustrations for the article are generated images based on the official design description, not the manufacturer’s photos.

When Exobot will go on sale and where it will be built

The cars will be assembled at the Ceer Manufacturing Complex in King Abdullah Economic City, about 120 km north of Jeddah. Ceer calls it the largest automotive production facility in the Middle East. By 2034, the share of locally sourced components is expected to rise to 45%.

  • September 21, 2026 — premiere of the sedan and SUV.
  • January 2027 — start of mass production.
  • March 2027 — first deliveries to customers in Saudi Arabia.
  • From 2028 — according to DubiCars, expansion to other markets in the region.

Prices have not been announced. The manufacturer says Exobot was developed with international certification in mind, but there is no talk of sales in Europe yet. We have collected other major premieres of the fall in our обзор of the Paris Motor Show 2026.

What accessories will suit a large electric car

There are no model-specific accessories for Exobot yet, but some items for a large car are selected by size. A long cabin with a 3.2 m wheelbase can be covered with universal floor mats, and the trunk — with a rubber mat that is trimmed to fit. The sills you step over when getting into a car with large wing doors can be protected with stainless-steel scuff plates. Owners of any electric vehicle will find tips useful on how to charge the battery properly and which tires to choose for a heavy car with high torque.
