Preparation and work
So, the process itself begins with disassembling the upholstery of the inside of the door, but we will not describe this, on the Internet you will find a lot of articles on this topic. Further, after the door trim is dismantled, the work should be performed in this order:
- First, the entire metal surface where the noise will be applied is thoroughly degreased and allowed to dry.
Note: if you find an anti-corrosion coating at the bottom of the door, it is recommended not to wash it off.
- Then we cut out pieces of suitable size from the vibra.
- We apply vibration isolation through the technological holes on the inside of the outer wall of the door. At the same time, we heat the bituminous side of the material with a hairdryer and roll it with a roller.
- We do the same with soundproofing - the second layer.
- With the third layer, we apply vibration to the entire plane of the door, sealing the technological holes.
- We process the door trim from the inside with sound insulation.
- In addition, in order to avoid possible squeaks or "crickets", it is recommended to process the wiring, the places where the plastic sheathing fits and the places where the speakers are attached.
- After that, you can assemble the door and install the trim in its place. To do this, you will most likely need new mounting clips.
