Why a car struggles to start cold: key causes and fixes

Morning, frost, or just damp weather — you turn the key in the ignition, but instead of a confident engine start you hear only a weak «cough» from the starter.. This situation is familiar to many drivers. Hard cold starting isn’t just an inconvenience; it’s a sign your car needs attention.
