BMW X5 G05 2018 → X5M 2025: a full facelift with a carbon body kit

We received a large-scale project to restore and fully upgrade a 2018 BMW X5 G05. The vehicle was brought from the USA after an accident in the standard BMW X5 G05 configuration.

The task was not only to fully repair the vehicle, but also to transform it into a modern BMW X5M F95 in 2025 styling. To do this, body panels, lighting, wheels, and the steering wheel were replaced, and a carbon hood plus a full set of carbon body kit parts were installed.

Restoring a BMW X5 G05 after an accident

Before the facelift began, the vehicle underwent a complete inspection and damage assessment. We checked the body condition, geometry, mounting points, damaged body elements, lighting, and related components.

After the repair was completed, the vehicle was prepared for the next stage — a full upgrade from the standard BMW X5 G05 to the look of a BMW X5M F95 2025.

Full BMW X5 G05 facelift into an X5M 2025

The foundation of the project was the BMW X5 G05 to X5M F95 2024–2025 facelift kit.

The kit made it possible to completely change the front and rear of the vehicle, bringing a regular BMW X5 G05 closer to the current BMW X5M design.

During the facelift, we installed:

• new-style BMW X5M front bumper;
• BMW X5M rear bumper;
• kidney grilles;
• new-style headlights;
• rear taillights;
• decorative trim pieces and inserts;
• required brackets and mounting hardware.

Before painting, all parts were pre-fitted to the body. After checking fitment, gaps, and compatibility, the kit was prepared and painted in the vehicle color.

Carbon hood for BMW X5 G05 and X5M F95

A separate highlight of this project was the carbon hood for BMW X5 G05 and X5M F95 2018–2022.

The carbon hood significantly changed the look of the front end. Its bold shape, sculpted lines, and natural carbon weave emphasized the sporty character of the BMW X5M.

Before installation, we checked the alignment of mounting points, latch positions, and gaps relative to the fenders, headlights, and front bumper. After precise test fitting, the hood was installed and adjusted.

The installation cost for the carbon hood was 4 000 UAH.

LRT Design carbon body kit

After installing the facelift kit, the vehicle received the LRT Design carbon body kit for BMW X5M F95.

The carbon components were selected to match the updated BMW X5M 2025 body configuration. They made the vehicle look wider, lower, and more aggressive.

The carbon exterior package included:

• front carbon splitter;
• side carbon elements for the front bumper;
• carbon side skirt covers;
• rear carbon diffuser;
• additional carbon exterior trim pieces.

Each part was pre-fitted to the body. For carbon body kit parts, installation accuracy is especially important, since such elements cannot be significantly deformed or adjusted during mounting.

New wheels for BMW X5 G05

To complete the exterior look, a new set of alloy wheels was installed. Available models are presented in the wheels for BMW X5 G05 category.

When selecting the wheels, we considered diameter, width, offset, brake system compatibility, and recommended tire specifications.

The new wheels complemented the facelifted body design and made the vehicle proportions look more sporty.

BMW X5 G05 carbon steering wheel

The upgrade affected not only the exterior, but also the interior. Instead of the standard steering wheel, a carbon steering wheel for BMW X5 G05 was installed.

The carbon steering wheel matches the hood and the exterior carbon body kit stylistically. During installation, the factory buttons, airbag, multimedia controls, and other vehicle functions were retained.

Project timeline

The full repair and installation of all parts took 45 days.

This timeframe included inspection and damage assessment, post-accident repair, body preparation, test fitting of parts, painting, installation of the facelift kit, mounting the carbon hood and body kit, and replacement of the lighting, wheels, and steering wheel.

Cost of completed work

The total cost of the listed work excluding post-accident repair was 66 000 UAH.

The cost of the facelift kit, carbon hood, carbon body kit parts, wheels, lighting, steering wheel, and other parts is calculated separately.

Where the work was carried out

Repair, painting, and parts installation were performed by our specialized partners in Chernivtsi, working under our management and supervision.

We were responsible for selecting components, checking parts compatibility, assembling the project package, and controlling the final result.

BMW X5 G05 transformation result

As a result, a standard 2018 BMW X5 G05 brought from the USA after an accident was fully restored and transformed into a modern BMW X5M in 2025 styling.

New bumpers, grilles, headlights, and rear taillights completely changed the vehicle’s appearance. The carbon hood became one of the main accents at the front, and the LRT Design carbon body kit added a bold, sporty character.

New alloy wheels and the carbon steering wheel completed the look and created a cohesive concept for the vehicle — from the exterior to the interior.
