Dacia is expanding its line-up in Europe’s most popular class: after the Bigster crossover, a second model has appeared in the C segment — Dacia Striker. It is a raised estate with an off-road look, which the brand describes as a blend of three worlds: a crossover, an estate and a sedan. The model has already been officially unveiled, and its public debut will take place at the Paris Motor Show.

What Dacia Striker is and when it was shown

Dacia announced the Striker name on 5 March 2026, and on 10 March it first revealed the car’s exterior during the presentation of the Renault Group futuREady strategic plan. The full premiere with technical details and trims took place on 8 July 2026. The public will be able to see the car live at the Mondial de l'Auto Paris Motor Show, which runs from 12 to 18 October 2026.

By classification, Striker is a C-segment model that complements the Dacia Bigster. The Bigster crossover is a classic SUV, while Striker is a lower and longer car with an estate body on a raised suspension. In effect, it takes the niche once held by the Logan MCV, but one level up in size and equipment. The brand explains the name with the English expression “to make a strike” — to hit the target.

Design: T-shaped headlights and roof rails

The styling continues the design language familiar from the third-generation Dacia Duster and Bigster, but with new details. The main one is a T-shaped light signature at all four corners of the body. Up front there is a gloss-black grille with the Dacia Link emblem; at the rear, the lights are integrated into a wide black strip across the entire tailgate, visually linking the back with the front.

  • chunky plastic wheel-arch extensions and protective lower cladding — a signature feature of Dacia’s “off-road” look;
  • on the Extreme version, the protective elements are made of Starkle material, which is unpainted and not afraid of scratches;
  • integrated roof rails, according to Dacia, add practicality without disrupting the body line;
  • 17-inch wheels as standard, with 18 and 19 inches optional;
  • seven body colours, including two new ones — Frost Green and Cosmic Blue.

Dimensions, ground clearance and boot

Striker is built on the CMF-B platform — the same one used by Duster and Bigster. At the same time, it is longer than both: 4.62 m versus 4.57 m for Bigster. Height is only 1.53 m, meaning the car is noticeably lower than a typical crossover, which has a positive effect on aerodynamics and fuel consumption.

Height1530 mm
Wheelbase2700 mm (according to the press)
Ground clearance190 mm (front-wheel drive), 200 mm (4x4)
Boot600 l, up to 1600 l with the seats folded (according to the press)

Ground clearance of 19–20 cm for an estate is the level of a full-fledged crossover: kerbs, dirt roads and trips to the countryside are no problem. The boot floor is modular, consisting of three sections that can be flipped, and on higher versions the tailgate opens with an electric drive, including hands-free. For those for whom 600 litres is not enough, Dacia offers an aerodynamic roof box with a volume of 480 litres.

Engines: hybrid, 4x4 hybrid and gas

All versions of Striker are electrified in one way or another. The brand claims four powertrains; two main ones have already been named:

Hybrid 155 (front-wheel drive)

A full hybrid based on a naturally aspirated 1.8-litre petrol engine (109 hp) and an electric motor (49 hp) with a 1.4 kWh battery. The gearbox is a clutchless multi-mode automatic that shifts the internal combustion engine gears and the electric motor gears separately. According to Dacia, CO₂ emissions of this version are below 100 g/km, and in the city the car can run on electric power for up to 80% of the time.

Hybrid 150 4x4 (all-wheel drive)

A 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbo engine with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system drives the front wheels, while a separate electric motor (around 30 hp) drives the rear. There is no mechanical propshaft; the all-wheel drive is “electric”. There are Auto, Eco, Snow, Mud/Sand and Off-Road modes, plus hill descent assist. Different outlets report different total output, so it is worth waiting for the official technical specifications for the exact figure.

Petrol and gas

For some markets, Dacia promises a version with an engine that runs on petrol and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) — a signature theme for the brand. According to the press, it is the same 1.2-litre turbo engine with a mild hybrid, but with factory-installed LPG equipment.

Interior and trims

There are four trims: Essential, Expression, Extreme and Journey. Even the base version includes a 10.1-inch multimedia touchscreen and a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, as well as roof rails. Notable options include a fixed panoramic roof measuring 1.2 × 0.8 m and YouClip mounting points with nine attachment locations for in-cabin accessories.

  • Extreme — the “outdoors” version: upholstery made of washable material, rubber mats (half made from recycled raw materials), copper accents, panoramic roof.
  • Journey — the most comfortable: electric driver’s seat adjustment, heated front seats and steering wheel, wireless charging, power tailgate.

When it goes on sale and how much it costs

Striker will be produced only in Turkey, at the Oyak-Renault plant in Bursa. This is the first Dacia manufactured in Turkey, and the plant will be the only one in the world assembling it. In Turkey, sales are expected to start in December 2026; in the UK, order intake will open in early 2027, and the first deliveries are expected during 2027.

The starting price in Europe is up to €25,000. Renault Group has not yet announced any official plans for the Ukrainian market. Let us remind you that Dacia models have historically been sold here under the Renault brand, so Striker, if it appears, may receive a different badge.

What a Striker owner will need

Striker is a car for family life, travel and trips into nature, so the first purchases after the dealership are obvious: roof cross bars, mud flaps and mats. There are no model-specific accessories made specifically for Striker yet — the car has not gone on sale. Therefore, in this article we have selected universal solutions, and the closest relatives on the same platform can serve as a reference point.

  • Roof cross bars. Striker’s standard rails are integrated into the roof, so you should look for cross bars for built-in rails. Before buying, check the rail profile and the distance between them on your car — options can be found in the roof racks section.
  • Mud flaps. A 19–20 cm ground clearance and plastic arches mean dirt from the wheels flies onto the sills and doors. Universal mud flaps solve this problem until model-specific ones appear.
  • Mats. For Striker, you can choose a universal set or a boot mat of the required size. For Dacia Bigster there are model-specific mats, but it is a different car: compatibility with Striker has not been confirmed, so until model-specific options are released it is better to measure the floor.
