Range Rover L460 2021–: forged wheels HF-8 Black R22 install — our work

Installing HF-8 Black R22 forged wheels on a Range Rover L460
The Range Rover L460 has large wheel arches and a substantial body, so swapping wheels noticeably changes the vehicle’s proportions even without adding a body kit. In this project, a set of HF-8 Black R22 forged wheels was installed.
For the job, we used the HF-8 R22 forged wheel set for Range Rover L460. Installation and balancing were carried out at the certified partner tire service SV Shyna.
Why does R22 fit the Range Rover L460?
On a large SUV, the R22 diameter matches the size of the body and wheel arches well. The wheels don’t look small, they fill the arches better, and they highlight the vehicle’s side profile.
At the same time, when choosing wheels it’s important to consider more than just diameter. Wheel width, offset, fitment specs, and compatibility with the braking system of a specific trim level also matter.
HF-8 Black forged wheels
In this project, HF-8 Black R22 forged wheels were installed in a black finish.
This color pairs well with dark exterior trim, the grille, tinted elements, and other black accents. The wheels don’t overload the design and blend neatly into the overall Range Rover styling.
The HF-8 design makes the wheels stand out while keeping a restrained character, which is especially important for premium-class vehicles.
Advantages of forged wheels
Forged wheels are produced using a different technology than standard cast wheels and are focused on high strength and precise geometry.
For a heavy SUV, this has practical value because the wheels operate under significant load. However, before installation it’s necessary to verify all technical parameters of the set and ensure it matches the specific vehicle.
A properly selected wheel should not contact the calipers, suspension, or body components.
How did the vehicle change after installation?
After fitting the HF-8 Black R22, the wheel arches looked more filled, and the side profile became more proportional. The black wheel finish added contrast and matched the large body of the Range Rover L460 well.
At the same time, this upgrade didn’t require changing bumpers, side skirts, or other body parts. The main effect was achieved solely with a correctly selected wheel set.
Professional installation and balancing
Installing large-diameter wheels requires accurate centering and high-quality balancing. Even slight imbalance can show up as vibrations while driving.
Before installation, the mounting surfaces, tire condition, and wheel fitment parameters are checked. After installation, each wheel is balanced, and the fasteners are tightened to the correct torque.
A check is also performed to ensure there’s no contact with suspension components or the braking system.
Wheel and installation cost
The cost of the HF-8 Black R22 forged wheel set in this project was 157 500 грн. Installation and balancing cost 2 000 грн.
The work was completed at the certified partner tire service SV Shyna.
What did the owner get after installation?
- wheels that better match the body proportions;
- more pronounced wheel arches;
- a black accent in the side profile;
- an update without body modifications;
- professionally performed balancing and installation.
Who is the HF-8 Black R22 set for?
This option suits Range Rover L460 owners who want to refresh the vehicle’s appearance without complex body tuning.
Black HF-8 wheels look especially fitting on vehicles with dark trim elements or other black exterior accents.
Installation result
As a result, the Range Rover L460 received a set of HF-8 Black R22 forged wheels that filled the wheel arches better and changed the vehicle’s side profile.
In this project, the focus wasn’t on the number of tuning parts, but on selecting the right wheels, ensuring compatibility, and delivering quality installation with balancing.
